Konrad Morenweiser

For a man who made such a vast contribution to the CCSG, we know remarkably little about Konrad.  According to the Vereispost of the Kieler Philatelisten Verein von 1931 e V. he was born in 1937.  Based on a few e-mails exchanged with various CCSG officers we can report that Konrad was an officer in the Deutsche Bundesmarine.

Konrad’s joined CCSG as member number 114 in 1976.  In the April 1985 edition he was listed as Distributor of the Bulletins and his first book on WW2 censorship in India, bilingual, was published.  Konrad also ran our auctions from 1989 until September 2007

Konrad also compiled an index to our Bulletins 1973-2009, vols 1-36 and, most importantly,  compiled/edited our British Empire WW2 series in the early 2000s. Remarkably, none of his many articles and books contains any biographical information.
